LOUISE MARKUS BECOMES LIFE EDUCATION AMBASSADOR

Honorary Chairman Alan Cadman and CEO Life Education NSW Jay Bacik made the trek to Canberra on Wednesday 17th November to present a special memento to Louise Markus, Federal Member of Macquarie marking her acceptance as an Ambassador for the organisation.

“Louise is a passionate supporter of Life Education NSW and we are proud to have her on board as an Ambassador for the program,” said Alan Cadman during the presentation.

Life Education New South Wales is a community-based, independent organisation at the front line of positive and preventative drug and health education.

Approximately 350,000 children and 30,000 families take part in the preschool, primary and secondary programs each year with the aim being to ensure young people are making make informed decisions about drugs and their health.

In accepting the award, Louise Markus applauded the efforts of both Alan and Jay in spreading the message throughout the community.

“Life Education NSW is doing an outstanding job educating children of all ages, and helping them to make informed choices to ensure a balanced healthy lifestyle. I am honoured to be an ambassador for such an important program,’ added Louise Markus.

CEO Jay Bacik reinforced the importance of Life Education NSW.

“Specialist educators, utilising their experience and training, work with schools to develop programs to support the provision of best-practice drug education. Sessions are age specific and provide support to both students and teachers in the delivery of ongoing drug education in their classroom.” said Mr Bacik.

“It is crucial to have good people, like Louise Markus, associated with the program,” added Mr Bacik.
